My Home. Ukraine — a New Generation of Social Housing in Bila Tserkva

My Home. Ukraine is a new residential quarter in Bila Tserkva designed for people who have lost their homes because of the war and need not merely temporary shelter, but a complete environment for a new life.

The architectural concept is based on the idea of dignified, contemporary, and human-centered housing. The bureau’s task was to create not an isolated housing estate, but a living urban quarter with a well-considered system of public spaces, accessible infrastructure, safe courtyards, and high-quality architecture that does not feel temporary, compromised, or secondary.

The project is located on a 10.86-hectare site on Arkhyipa Liulky Street. The territory is integrated into the existing urban fabric of Bila Tserkva and complemented by a network of open public spaces: an urban park, a memorial garden, an educational zone, children’s and sports playgrounds, walking routes, and cycling infrastructure.

The residential programme includes 4 housing quarters, 44 buildings, and 1,187 apartments for approximately 3,300 residents. The complex provides one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with rational layouts, modern finishes, and comfortable shared spaces. The ground floors accommodate public-use premises and everyday services, making the quarter active, convenient, and self-sufficient.

Particular attention is given to the quality of the spaces between the buildings. The courtyards are designed as places for people rather than cars, with green areas, places for rest, children’s playgrounds, and safe routes for everyday movement. Parking is moved underground, allowing the inner spaces of the quarter to remain quiet, open, and comfortable for residents of all ages.

Social infrastructure is an important part of the concept. The project includes an educational zone, a primary school and extracurricular space, a veterans’ hub, an Administrative Services Centre, public services, sports areas, and spaces for community interaction. This approach forms the quarter as a complete environment for support, adaptation, and recovery.

The architecture of the complex combines a contemporary residential typology, energy-efficient solutions, accessibility, and advanced construction technologies. The project provides for the use of two construction systems: a steel frame and prefabricated reinforced concrete structures. This makes it possible to combine speed of implementation with reliability, durability, and high construction quality.

My Home. Ukraine is more than a residential complex. It is a model of next-generation social housing: a quarter that restores the sense of home, safety, belonging, and future.
