he construction and equipping of a new modern surgical and transplant building on the basis of the State Institution "National Scientific Center of Surgery and Transplantology named after O.O. Shalimov of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" will ensure the creation of new high-tech medical facilities (hybrid  operating rooms, operating rooms-transformers, operating rooms using robotic surgery), training of leading specialists, expansion of the nomenclature and the total number of surgical interventions, etc. Over the past decades, modern medicine has undergone radical changes. This is especially true of surgical technologies and treatment methods, which have become highly specialized, multidisciplinary, high-tech and minimally invasive. This is the result of modern research into the development of diseases and trends in their treatment, in which high-tech diagnostics algorithms and multidisciplinary treatment tactics, as well as surgical techniques, are closely linked. Taking into account the above, approaches to the organization of medical care have also changed. In the countries of the European Union, North America and the Asia-Pacific region, monofunctional surgical clinics, at the regional and especially at the national level, have been modernized in the direction of multifunctionality and high-technologicalness. This has made it possible to significantly reduce costs for the healthcare system and, most importantly, significantly improve the quality of medical care, prevent complications and reduce the patient's hospital stay, the percentage of disabilities and the duration of social and labor rehabilitation. The change in the medical and organizational paradigm has also necessitated the modernization of existing or even the construction of new medical buildings that meet the relevant requirements:

  • the presence of hybrid operating rooms and operating rooms-transformers;
  • the introduction of robotic surgery;
  • availability of comfortable and safe conditions for patients and medical staff;
  • ensuring optimal routing of patients, medical and support staff;
  • creating conditions for improving the energy efficiency of premises.
